Godzilla. That name, that word just means alot to me. Why? I grew up watching Godzilla movies, no matter how cheesy, really the only one i haven't seen is Godzilla vs. Hedorah (The Smog Monster). I just got back a little over an hour ago from watching Gareth Edward's Godzilla movie, and boy did it rock.
The suspense was great, the effects were amazing, and Godzilla, wow just wow, the King of the Monsters has returned. Some people have complained the Big G isn't in the movie enough. I disagree, you see bits and pieces of him. Gareth Edwards approached this take on Godzilla from a what if this creature was real perspective.
For example think about Bigfoot, yeah I do think he's out there, but just damn good at hiding, Gojira/Godzilla would be an elusive creature. Granted there was no Godzilla taking on the army, sorry fellow G-fans, but damn was this movie still good. The story was great, the build up to the big G himself, the Mutos, wow just wow. I highly recommend this movie to anybody. Like I said just a few brief thoughts.
