Hello from the depths of wherever I'm at these days. Many people will ask what the hardest part about working out is, and well it's not the working out itself. I'd have to say for me personally it's sticking to the program I've chosen, and ignoring all the voices on the internet that say it's useless.
I believe some things in life just click; let me tell you guys something. I spent too much time on phase one of the Alpha Body Blueprint, I spent almost seven weeks on that phase, and I burned out.
I thought since I burned out it was time to switch plans, and that was my mistake. Don't ever switch workout plans especially if there are two phases, and only use the recommended number of weeks.
I had listened to a guy that said my results would be better if I worked out in split. Wrong. I hate splits, hell I couldn't even stick with any other program.
I don't know what it is, but me and the blueprint just kind of click. I guess it helps keep some kind of order in my life, I'm not sure. I do change things up a little but not drastically. Like today for instance, on Sunday, I did the five 100 meter sprints on my strength day, and did tabata (will have you crying on the floor) mountain climbers today, my power day. I did warm up with light hang snatches, but I kind of like the clean and press. So yeah I keep pretty much to the program, but I don't change anything major in it.
On that week seven I mentioned instead of dumbbell chest presses I did dips. I love dips don't get me wrong, but the program wasn't designed with those in mind, and that's ok. I mean the whole warm up is nothing but angular bodyweight training. I can't do my own thing when it comes to working out, and I'm tired of the damn voices and ideas that run through my head telling me when I'm at work to try this or this.
Look I've learned from my mistakes. After of 8 weeks of six days of training take a two to three day break then get back into it and keep improving that's all I can do. Consistency is key to long term strength and gains not doing one program one month then doing another the next. I know many disagree with me but this is my experience and not everybody is the same. So for me the hardest part of working out is being faithful to that one program, I mean time is gonna pass anyway so why not just get damn good and better at it? Sometimes simplicity is the best thing in life.

Focus on being fit not abs.
A strong core is essential to our bodies, but I've found in my experience, I'm just not cut out for six pack abs. I have a lean strong stomach from doing deadlifts, front and back squats and hanging leg raises in the Alpha Body Blueprint, but maybe six pack abs aren't everything. Hell, this is a quote from Justin Devonshire from his 21 Day Emergency Muscle Blueprint Program: "Strong midsection: a 6-pack is not always required, but as long as your midsection is hard, robust and strong-looking."
I have a strong mid-section, I eat healthy balanced meals. Granted I like pizza and ice cream; those are my guilty pleasures. But with the kind of job I work at in a factory now, I burn off all the carbs I intake plus working out six days a week (one being an active light weight recovery workout), I've decided I'm just fine.
I've gained muscle in the past five weeks from going through the first phase of ABB two times in a row again. I weigh 167 but it's in muscle. I don't have a gut, and I'm lean and strong. I'll never be an epic action hero, that's life despite what I like to fantasize. The key to getting stronger is sticking with a program that works and getting good at it.
I've thought about doing SixPackShortcuts or tried other programs. They don't click for me like the Alpha Body Blueprint does, and the twenty-seven dollars I paid for it has been worth it. So now I'm just focused on being fit, strong and lean, not movie star caliber, but decent. Also I've started sprinting a few days a week because heck, it's summer time, and I love the outdoors. So I'm off for now. Remember find a workout plan that clicks for you and stick with it, and high frequency training is what I love. I look forward to working out now that it's become such an integral part of my life. Adios.

Just another blog
I really can't come up with a title for this blog other than it just being another blog. Forgive me if I ramble in this one folks, you see I've been busy. I currently have a new job with full time hours, right now I'm working through a temp agency at a local office furniture factory and I enjoy it immensely. Here's a few things that's been on my mind.
Sometimes life as we all know doesn't turn out how we plan; me I wanted to be a famous author at one point and for years I kept looking for a shortcut to that. There are no shortcuts to greatness; as with anything, and this is what working out has taught me especially this year, it takes time, patience and with all caps EFFORT! When I first started writing and originally wrote a book called UnLocked Secrets The Beginning, I was an american fundamentalist churchian or christian whichever you want to use. That's a whole other story for another time.
But the point is, I had actually put effort into writing that book and I accomplished something. My whole problem has been wanting a shortcut and things just to miraculously happen; I became an over-thinker because of what some critic or more "established" writer would say. I don't mind criticism as long as it's constructive. Within my head, I'd constructed a whole universe that I wanted to put down on paper, but somehow along the way with emotional, mental, and financial issues, I lost that drive.
You can't let anything stand in the way of your dreams. That's why I had such fun writing The Cyberbird; I had published it on Amazon.com but was discouraged cause of literally no sales. Instead of taking the risks to promote it, I became distracted by social media, and became over thinking with the story, instead of it just being what I'd wanted it to be. A crazy ass written version to tokusatsu, specifically The Kamen Rider and Garo series, and the animes Bio-booster Armor Guyver and Karas The Prophecy and Revelation.
I worried about were the characters deep enough, should I have more heroes? But I've come to the conclusion the story is perfect even with its flaws. It's my story that I chose to wrote. Sure eventually I'll have Aaron Anders and Xelbrius fighting extraterrestial descendants of angels as far out as it sounds, but it's supposed to be far out. And the other heroes like The Radical and ShadowLight, it's meant be crazy sci-fi maybe sometimes random action
A psychotic yet calculating general who is one of the planet's best fighters is out done by a rookie who takes to fighting styles naturally? That's crazy, and you know what it's meant to be fun. My characters Aaron and Xelbrius are heroes but flawed, and smartasses. They don't get along all the time, and that's the story I'll show. Fighting a giant Turduckensaurus at Macy's thanksgiving day parade? That's gonna be helluva funny to write. I'd written it but deleted it cause I wanted to be more "serious".
But come on, tokusatsu is known for it's crazy cheesiness. Yes, there can be serious good moments in the story, but not everything has to be grim dark, and I think in writing this I've gotten my spark back. So tonight I'm republishing The Cyberbird as Ra'a the Cyberbird, and moving forward with Rise of the Heroes in tribute to Iron Savior's 2014 album Rise of the Hero. So adieu and the season finale of Grimm awaits me in six minutes.

Fitness Fidelity and Overthinking is an obstacle
My inbox is loaded with fitness program offers on my gmail and hotmail accounts. Will it never end? I suppose I shouldn't have signed up on all those fitness websites, oh well that's life, you live and learn from your mistakes. For a week or so I thought about switching from the ABB (Alpha Body Blueprint by Justin Devonshire for you noobs), but I realized, I'm getting damn good at it, and constantly improving.
I love the daily total body workouts, and the thing is, it prepares me better for real life. Okay enough about that, but I do need ask Justin if he'll put the link up again to buy it, cause he hasn't renewed it. Anyway, I'm on a hard path in life, and one reason is because I tried to take the easy way out when I was younger. Don't ever do that, you will pay for it. Instead of going to a technical or trade school, to learn a skill, and get a decent job while writing on the side, I chose to work retail and write on the side.
And damn does it suck big time. My main obstacle in writing is I tend to overthink the stories I come up with. Yes, overthinking is one of the worse things anybody, writer, stocker, whatever you do to pay the bills can do. I'm not against critical thinking, I'm all for it, but I'm talking about wanting to be such a damn perfectionist, you lose the fun in what you're doing.
The same thing has ruled my life for the past eight years; first, I'm sad to say I got into the Alex Jones crowd. Thank God, I'm out of that now, and I was scared that we were all gonna be put in FEMA death camps. I've come to the personal conclusion that was bull crap, but that was the main reason I didn't got to a trade school.
Let's put it this way, conspiracy theories (yes there are conspiracies out there, and I use some of the more odd ones in my fiction stories) can ruin your life, and if you're dumb enough, cause you to lose good friends. That's what happened with me, don't go that route. I lost many good friends that way. If you enjoy something artistic or fitness wise, whatever it is, don't overthink it.

Sometimes simple is the best
As time as gone on, I've realized something, sometimes the most simplistic things in life are the best. In America, we live in a fast paced, technologically advanced yet unhealthy growing poor society. This is especially prevalent in the Deep South; I believe you can be smart and simple, but not stupid like so many people I encounter.
We all do stupid things from time to time; I know I do, plenty and too idiotic to name. Whether it's from working out (Alpha Body Blueprint I love ya,) or to writing. This is specifically on writing. Earlier I was watching Terminator 2 Judgment Day , and I came to realize something. The story is pretty straight forward, and that's what I've decided to do with my Cyberbird series.
Instead of calling it The Cyberbird or Ra'a the Armored Angel, I've decided to go with the kick ass name of Ra'a the Cyberbird. Ra'a is a Hebrew word which means to break or spoil, and in this case it's a take charge no hold hero, named Aaron Anders, and Xelbrius, an angel trapped as a cyborg bird that join forces to take on evil mages, demon aliens, and just all kinds of crazy crap.
Yeah, I've decided to tap into my inner child, and rewrite this into a straight forward, tinged with a tiny bit of mystery, hero series. One of my favorite movies ever is Captain America The Winter Soldier, and in it they showed, you can be awesome and still stand for heroic ideals.
I guess standing up for your fellow man, helping the poor, loving others even if they believe different than you is part of what being an Alpha male and a hero is about. A hero goes against the odds, and doesn't take the easy way out. If something is hard, he finds ways to improve, and keep getting stronger and better, and that is also the kind of person I aim to be.

Sticking with Alpha Body
The other day I wrote a post saying I'd go to the six pack shortcuts program, but I realized something, I love the Alpha Body Blueprint. It combines bodyweight, dumbbells and barbell training in a short six day a week system. So I've decided, it's the plan I'll stick with, and I won't do the third month of the extreme bodyweight challenge.
What's great about the Blueprint is it can be adapted into a four week program, and each workout of every week is consistent but a little bit different. I like what Elliot Hulse said in a video of his, stick with a workout program for one year. Don't worry about what anybody else is doing. Also, I'm not gonna be a workout plan whore. I know one thing my deadlift and squats sure have improved. I can currently deadlift 225 and I only weigh 167. That's fifty-two more pounds than I weigh.
If I'm ever on the go, I figure I can do bodyweight omnisets and angular training. I mean what's wrong with having a lean strong body and core? Sure I may not have a six pack or a gut, but my core is still tight and strong, and all I have is time to improve. So I'm sticking with the Alpha Body Blueprint, and I'm not changing a dang thing about it. I love it. I've gained muscle, and heck I'll just use the extreme bodyweight routines as a warmup from time to time. So be faithful to something that works and is already great. Next year I may do a different workout routine. I don't know yet, but this the year of becoming an Alpha for me. Learning skills, and improving my life so one day I can have a future a beautiful woman who's been my best friend for nearly five years and is in brazil at the moment.
She's the only one for me and so is this plan.

Last Week of the Alpha Body Blueprint
What a hell of a month February has been for me. I mean seriously, at the moment I still feel like I'm where I'm at if not worse off than last year. I would love to monetize this blog and go into business for myself, but it seems damn near impossible. Things are working out with me and my friend in Brazil, no thanks to my stupidity and thinking grass is always greener on the other side when it's note.
Fellas, if you've got a great girl no matter how far she is from you at the moment, don't dump her, and don't tug at her heart strings. It's not right, and it causes alot of unnecessary grief.
Okay so I'm the eighth and final week of the Alpha body blueprint, and the next program I will be going to will be SixPackShortcuts from Mike Chang. I'm still doing my body-weight angular training in addition to weight training. Also in the first month of the program I will be doing the final month of ashoa's Extreme Bodyweight Challenge, and two weighted workouts in addition to what's in the first phase of SPS. So yeah that's basically it.

Ra'a The Armored Angel blog coming soon
Okay, if you've bothered to read my older posts, you all know I published a small novella awhile back on Amazon called The Cyberbird The First Tale of Ra'a the Armored Angel. Well, I've decided to do something new, turn that novella into a full online blogspot novel. I realize that the novella, is kind of disjointed, and well, the whole universe of the Armored Angel has become more cohesive in my mind.
As a result I've decided to rework everything, and the heroes, Aaron and Xelbrius will not always use brute force to defeat their enemies. I mean come on, Xel's the son of the devil and Lilith the night demonness. He's a good guy, does stupid things, but he's no idiot either, and spoiler: Aaron before he he got kicked out of college, was learning to become a teacher. Both of them are smart, and yeah I love fight scenes, but in the novel, the battles with their villains are also psychological games as well.
That's why I love chess, though I don't play it much anymore. It's a game of strategy and intellect. Oh by the way I've started on the fifth week of the alpha body blueprint, and the second month of the extreme bodyweight challenge.
I haven't been writing as much cause I've been in a rut and distracted what with family life and all. Also, I've been researching ways to make money online with blogging. So please share this blog.

Dino-Charge Episode One thoughts and week 3 completed.
I know I haven't written anything for a few days; I've just been dealing with alot this past week. So anyway, first things first, I've finished week three of the Alpha Body Blueprint and Month one of the Bodyweight challenge. Week four, I'll just be doing weight training, then next week I'll hope back into month two of the bodyweight challenge along with the fifth week of workouts.
So, I watched the first episode of Power Rangers Dino-Charge on Nick.com, and I love it. For four years as a Power Rangers and tokusatsu fan, we've had to deal with less than stellar writing and acting, and pure sentai copy and paste crap. Thank God, Judd the Chip Lynn is back.
Judd Lynn was the head writer of some of my favorite seasons when I was growing up in the nineties those being: In Space (what I saw of it at the time still need to watch the whole season to completion) Lost Galaxy and Lightspeed Rescue. I think one day I will give Time Force a chance.
I find it funny that the twenty-second season of Power Rangers is ironically going to be a better anniversary and throwback to the Mighty Morphin days than Megaforce was. Dino-Charge has an original villain called Sledge, and the Kyroryuger antagonist costumes were all used in original footage.
Some toku fans are complaining that Dino-Charge is going to ruin Kyroryuger. They are wrong. It's simple Power Rangers and Super Sentai may have some of the same footage, but they are two different shows. I'm just glad to see innovation back in Power Rangers after four years of blandness. All I have to say is watch it and you be the judge.

Week Three Day One
Yesterday, Sunday I began week three of my workout program. Angular training was simply used as a warmup since I had to work all day, and the gym was next door. It wasn't until fifteen minutes until nine p.m. that I finally got home.
Deadlifting 185 isn't too bad, and my back has gotten used to it. I met a guy who said a wider stance (sumo) is more efficient than a regular deadlift stance since it doesn't put as much strain on the back, and he's right. So I'm going to be doing wide-stance deadlifts from now on. Also for my last two strength training days, I'll be maxing out on the bodyweight angular training to full fatigue. Next week is my recovery and deload week. So just very light strength training will be in the works. Half of what I normally do.

Week 2 of the Blueprint is complete
Well, I've made it through two weeks, and people are saying I'm already getting results. I now weight 167 so I'm packing on that lean muscle. This past week I started eating broccoli, olives and carrots with my breakfast along with the almonds of course. I've really cut back on my processed sugar and dessert intake to just one day a week (last night was my cheat day). I'm loving the flexibility of body-weight angular training. Just one more week then week four is my deload week.
Alot of people tend to rush, and that's a problem. Also I will start posting movie reviews on this blog, and I'm currently researching ways to monetize it; I may even do a weekly fiction series called Tales of the Kartarkian Knights. Adieu.

Day 3 of week 2
Today, I learned something when it comes to doing hang cleans. Don't listen to music in your ears with an mp3 player. Save it for the more non explosive and bodyweight exercises. I only cleaned about a 100 pounds today, and I was pretty disappointed in myself, especially after doing so well last week. Headphones are a distraction, so I won't be using them on my power days any more or when doing power exercises like cleans. That's it really, but we learn from our mistakes so we can get better and learn.

Why I use bodyweight angular training
Oi, to all the people on googleplus. As you can guess by now, one of my personal heroes and fitness mentors would have to be Todd Kuliskis of the A Shot of Adrenaline Website. The reason I admire Todd is the physique he's gotten from using just bodyweight alone. Now the reason I'm using barbells is not to gain significant mass, but to help get that sharp Brad Pitt kind of look. I still have a long way to go, and the Alpha Body Blueprint uses Rusty Moore's Principles from Visual Impact Muscle Building.
So why do I still use body weight exercises? To get naturally stronger of course, and to help keep my physique lean. Try doing some falling towers exercises after a front squat or deadlift. Now those suckers really work the glutes, and hurt like hell, but I love 'em.
What I'm doing is basically experimenting upon myself to see how stronger I can get bodyweight style. I train five days per week with two of those days being metabolic and more fat burning focused. I don't go real heavy on the barbells, but on the bodyweight I go crazy.
For example yesterday, I'd do four bodyweight exercises after a main exercise in the Blueprint workout, and it was tough but worth it. Since tomorrow is a strength and power day, after my main routine, I'll be doing all the bodyweight exercises to absolute failure to see how much stronger I've gotten.
But yeah, angular training is a great way to gain natural functional strength, burn fat, build endurance, all at one time. Until tomorrow adieu.

Week 2 Day 1 of Alpha Body Blueprint
Today was day one of week two. I decided to change things up a bit today. After every weighted or main exercise in the blueprint, I did several reps of each of A Shot Of Adrenaline's Month One bodyweight exercises. I have to say in the past week I've put on several pounds of muscle already.I went from 162 to 165 pounds, and I know it's not fat, cause a size 34 which I currently wear with a belt, is extremely loose on me.
So yeah I'm going for my goals of that lean athletic look, and I changed my mind about HASfit's 90 day workout to build muscle. I'm gonna stick with this all through the year. I front squated 120 pounds on the barbell this morning. Now the 45 pounders on dumbbells doing the incline bench press was killer, but I plowed through, though I had to drop to 40 then 35. I'm getting stronger, and I believe I'll look into Justin Devonshire's marketing program.
I'm still on chapter two of the Cyberbird 2 whose subtitle will be called the Rise of Ra'a. That's it for today and adieu.

Alpha Body Blueprint Phase One Week One Complete
Well, I did it. I've completed week one of the alpha body blueprint. Within the next months I will cut back any sugar intake to just one day a week, so that means goodbye eggnog ice cream and pound cake, and regular processed bread. Yes, I am changing my diet one day at a time, because I realize it's the other half of the battle to gaining the alpha physique I yearn for.
I'm incorporating Chad Howse's The Man Diet into my own life the best I can. For instance, I eat two to four pieces of bacon, and usually four to six eggs with a handful almonds for my breakfast each morning. The eggs are cooked in the grease that comes from the bacon, so it's all good. You need fats to fight fat. Crazy I know.
The middle of my neck hurts right now from the back squats; I'm thinking I should get something to cushion it when I do those. I prefer front squats, and I'm thinking of maybe doing hack squats. So yeah also I'll be taking a break from facebook and most social media except this blog to focus on The Cyberbird 2.
I promise you folks this one will be twice as long, and even better than the first. With the first book, which is just a novella, I was planning to write the series as novellas, but the story has evolved so much in my mind that I think a full out novel of it would be better.

Fifth Day
Okay folks today was my fifth day of training while yesterday was a rest day. I've figured since I'm already basically doing it, I might as well go ahead and do the Alpha Body Blueprint for the next seven weeks. Today I learned how to do a barbell back squat. Personally, I prefer front squats, but I guess I'll do them since they're in the program. Also I did some dips and extra chinups, those are two of the three best upper body bodyweight strength building exercises I know of the last being the good ol' pushup. So tomorrow will be day six, and I will have completed week one of phase one.
By the way after this eight weeks of training I'll be taking a week off to fully recover, and then do HASFit's Free 90 Day Muscle Building workout.

Alpha Body Blueprint rabbit trail
Ahoy there, to all on blogger and google land. Just a little something. After I complete the 21 Day Emergency Blueprint, I will be doing Justin Devonshire's full Alpha Body Blueprint. These 21 Days that I'm on now, are just a way for me to get back into full on weight training after going two years just using twenty-five pound and twenty pound dumbbells and bodyweight.
Todd Kuliskis has a great article about being a workout plan whore, and I will not be that. I'll take Elliot Hulse's advice and stick with the Alpha Body Blueprint and the 21 Day program for this whole year. I mean okay so things change? What the hell?
I still love bodyweight training, but it's good to have a variety of training. Even Bruce Lee one of my greatest heroes saw the benefits of barbell strength training, and remember it's always good to have a deload week. Yes there's actually two deloaded weeks in the Alpha Body Blueprint, and I'm still doing the bodyweight challenge.
This is all part of my path to becoming a legend, and I've decided I'll use part of my income tax return for investment. Yes, I've decided to start an investment account. I can't work retail forever -_-. Good day to all.

Third Day
Well, today was my third day of training. This was the first time I've ever done barbell hang cleans, and the first set I did was three reps with just ninety pounds, but the last four sets of three, were with one hundred fifteen, which isn't too bad. Anyway I'm listening to part one of Bodyweight Todd's interview with Nick Nilsson about a fat burning circuit called fat loss circuit training.
Of course, since I had to be at work at four this morning, I didn't do the bodyweight training for my morning warmup ( I was up at 2:45 a.m. not fun.), but instead I used it as my after workout burner. I did forty seconds work with twenty seconds rest in between exercises. Anyway I've decided to incorporate fat loss circuit training into my workouts instead of rests, forty seconds of cardio between weight sets. Here's the link to the interview: http://ashotofadrenaline.net/advanced-fat-loss-techniques/?inf_contact_key=fd9fb92423ada9719f85c31a4f72ab2816a8727b46375354b30f192b01bb4172

First Day of my 21 Day Program
So today after I got off work at one today, I went over to Riviera and did the first day of the workout.
I found that I can deadlift 185 pounds which is 25 pounds more than I currently weight which is 160 to about 162 give or take. And I'll tell you guys super setting it with wide pullups is killer, awesome and satisfying.
Then I did my second super set which consisted of three rounds of five to eight incline dumbbell presses, one arm rows and split squats. Split squats with forty pound dumbbells are a pain, but I'd rather deal with the pain of getting into better shape, and reaching my goals instead of drifting. I'm still doing my body-weight routine three mornings a week. So that was a good warm up especially after a cold shower to raise the testosterone. So yeah that's about it. Good day to all.

Nothing Comes Easy, I will Become a Legend
This morning while cooking my five eggs for breakfast, I really thought about this quote from Chad Howse, "Hope in a quick fix is where many of us are led astray." That statement from his site http://chadhowsefitness.com/ really hit me. I realized, for the past few years of my life, I've been looking for quick fixes, whether it's from writing, or working out.
I have a confession to make, for the past two years, I've found it hard to stick to just one workout plan, and my strength has suffered for it. Yesterday, I joined Rivera Fitness Center, and today I did the first day of Mike Chang's Six Pack Shortcuts program, which is a deceptive title because it's actually twelve weeks.
I may be decent at bodyweight to a certain extent, but flitting from workout plan to workout plan has really caused me to suffer. That's why today I made the commitment to stick to Todd Kuliski's Extreme 3 month Bodyweight plan as my morning routine upon waking up, and Mike Chang's Six Pack Shortcuts. This road will not be easy, but I want to be more than just a man, I want to be an alpha male.
A leader of leaders as Chad puts it in his blog; I will become great, and it starts with small steps and forming new habits. From going to bed earlier, getting up and focusing on my morning routine warmup to really becoming a part of Wealthy Affiliate and finding my niche. We seem to want a quick fix, and jump on the next new fad, whether it's workouts or zumba dancing in a Gollum costume. (I was grasping for straws on that last statement.)
I realize I didn't want to put real effort into my relationships, and it suffered, but that's a whole other story. It's like the new Allen-Lande song from the Great Divide, "It's my destiny to keep reaching for the stars."
I don't make resolutions anymore. This year I have clear set goals, and that means sacrifices will be made. Good day to all. Start your path to become a legend.
Update: After my first day of getting back on barbells, and analyzing my goals of wanting to complete the 3 Month Bodyweight Program three mornings a week, I will be doing Justin Devonshire's 21 Day Emergency Muscle Blueprint instead, that way I can take a fourth week for active recovery and let my muscles rest and grow. Good day to all once again. I will start Six Pack Shortcuts eventually but not any time soon.
